Winemaking
Whilst all Mills Reef vineyards are located in Hawkes Bay, the grapes are picked and transported to the winery in Tauranga where all winemaking, barrel aging, bottling and labelling is carried out.
The winery has been designed to allow visitors to view the winemaking process in action. Bottling and labelling halls can be seen through the tasting room viewing windows, whilst downstairs visitors can view winemaking staff tending to wines in the underground barrel cellar.
Fermentation tanks, a second underground cellar and bottled wine storage facilities also grace the winemaking complex.
