They were harvested during mid-April at ideal ripeness and in excellent condition. The juice was tank fermented for enhanced fruit driven flavours and characteristics, with aging for twelve months. Twenty percent of the wine underwent malolactic fermentation for enhanced complexity, then blended and bottled in June 2006. This golden wine is made in a refreshing, fruit forward, approachable style. It has tropical fruit, peach, melon and pear aromas. A full bodied wine, its lively acidity compliments stonefruit and orange marmalade flavours, with hints of citrus and butterscotch, and length on the palate persisting to a soft, creamy-smooth finish. |
