| Vintage: 2007Varieties: ViognierArea: Hawkes BayWinemaker: Tim Preston & Paddy PrestonAlcohol: 13.5%Tasting Note:This delightfully appealing Viognier was produced from single vineyard fruit grown in the Meanee Road area of Hawkes Bay. The grapes were harvested on 17 April 2007 at optimum ripeness of 24 brix. The juice was then 100% fermented in older French oak barriques and aged on lees for eight weeks to impart a delicate oak seasoning while allowing the vibrant fruit flavours to shine through. It was bottled under screwcap on 7 March 2008.
This full-bodied fruit driven wine is brimming with mouthfilling dried apricots, peaches and lemon flavours. It is fresh, vibrant and off-dry with a delicate lacing of quality oak, leading to a soft smooth finish.
