Reserve Pinot Gris 2007
Vintage: 2007 Tasting Note: This rich and creamy wine is made in the Alsace style, with 100% single-vineyard grapes sourced from the cooler climate Meanee district of Hawkes Bay. These grapes are the first crop from newly planted vines and were harvested at 24 brix on 30th of March 2007, in excellent condition and at ideal ripeness and physiology. Following pressing, the juice was 100% cool-fermented in stainless steel tanks to accentuate this variety's aromatic fruitiness. Bottling took place on July 11th under screwcap. This stylishly textured Pinot Gris is mouthfilling, with intense peach, pear and rock melon flavours. Delicate, yet refreshing, acidity provides a vibrance that complements this wine's fresh fruit sweetness and a delicious lasting finish. | |
