| Vintage: 2006 Awards: 4 STARS - Michael Cooper's Wine Buyer's Guide 2008 Tasting Note: This special and vibrantly fruity rosé is a 50/50 blend of premium Merlot and Malbec grapes, harvested in early April, from our famous Mere Road vineyard in the Gimblett Gravels district of Hawkes Bay. The colour is bright ruby and aromas of spice, strawberry and plum abound. Fresh lively flavours entice the palate with raspberries, plums, spices and an attractive candy sweetness. Crisp acidity gives beautiful balance and a long smooth dry finish. Made in a delicious drink-young style, this fine Rosé is best enjoyed as a refreshing afternoon drink or aperitif served lightly chilled, but is also highly enjoyable for all occasions. |
